So that "roughly the same age" shit doesn't matter because LL had already had a hall of fame career before Jay's career even jumped off. Jay should've been going stronger much later than LL, because Jay started much later.

LL Cool J. been acting (not appearring as himself) since 1991 and starred in his own television show from 1995 to 1999, and during this time he had three albums which all had some dope material on them "Shots to the Dome", "Mr. Smith", & "Phenomenon".
Does Jay even have an acting career, even though I think this probably the main reason why LL has leveled off and why Jay has continued music success cause LL is doing his acting thing and getting paid well for it, and Jay only has his music career to focus on.
