In PS I LOVE YOU, Butler sings this to Hilary Swank.

Madeleine Stowe - "Madeline and Nine" by Mike Doughtey

Just a play on her name. I know it's different but it's close. heh

Gerard Butler:
"Surfin USA" - Beach Boys

Because of his recent surfing accident: http://blog.sfgate.com/stew/2012/01/12/gerard-butler-describes-mavericks-surfing-scare/

Madeline Stowe:
"Keep Your Eye On The Sparrow" -Sammy Davis Jr

(Wikipedia says her debut was on an episode of Baretta)

Gerard Butler
Wu-Tang Clan's "Wu-Tang: 7th Chamber
REASON: Butler appears in CHASING MAVERICKS, and thus I refer to the line:
:Suspenseful, plus bein bought through my utensil
The pencil, I break strong winds up against your
Abbot, that run up through your county like the Maverick
Caps through the tablets, I gots to make the fabrics"

Plus, with the Wu-Tang Clan on the show, I'm assuming The RZA will be there and if so, maybe you can persuade him to drop a guest line.

ALTERNATE CHOICE:
Honk's "Pipeline Sequence"
http://youtu.be/JQ8QWqbsAy8
REASON: I suggested this song before for another actor that was on for a surf-related movie. As someone who grew up not only on an island, but with a good share of surf movies, I have my favorite surf movies, similar to when someone tries to say what their favorite hip-hop album is or baseball jersey for certain teams. FIVE SUMMER STORIES is regarded as one of the best stoner movies of all time, so it's simply one way of honoring a new surf movie with a song from an old surf movie. When this song would play in the film, people in the theater would stand up and cheer.

Anyway, focus on the part of the song the begins at the 1:02 mark, from the hard "saxophone/guitar riff" to the part that gets funky and mellow. In Hawai'i and parts of California, this part of the song will give people chicken skin/goose bumps.

(SIDENOTE: The drummer for this band was Tris Imboden, who would later replace Danny Seraphine in Chicago. He played with loads of yacht rock artists and bands, but there's a dedicated fanbase for the work he did with Honk, who only released two albums before calling it quits.)

Madeleine Stowe
Sergei Tarnowsky's "Balakirev Polka in F# Minor"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-G2nqSzqAKE
REASON: She wanted to be a concert pianist, and her teacher was Sergei Tarnowsky. There's no information on what songs she learned from him, but he did perform this song on 1972 so maybe there may be a connection.

ALTERNATE CHOICE:
Black Sabbath's "Iron Man"
REASON: Since she'll most likely be there to promote REVENGE, I focus on the last four lines of the song:
"Nobody wants him
They just turn their heads
Nobody helps him
Now (s)he has his revenge"

I state (s)he has his revenge, since the main character is seeking revenge for the death of her father but Stowe's character fits in with the whole situation.

#2: Dave Dee, Dozy ... - Bend it

Why? Because of my favorite interview with Tom Hanks EVER:

Tom Hanks talks about Slappy White

Scream: You're bending the shafts!!!
-------------

(I can post about 10 suggestions after everyone else chimes in fi yuo want to do an Eddie Murphy/Sam Jackson mashup intro. From Stevie Wonder, to That Thing You Do, to Dragnet, Weird Al, MAzes and Monsters, Family Ties, the song from BIG, the list goes on and on and on. )

Tom Hanks - "City of Crime" by Tom Hanks and Dan Aykroyd
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pT_QRKfv8H4

Hanks and Aykroyd rapping from the movie, DRAGNET.

Victoria Justice - "Notorious" by Duran Duran
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGDmBLAPikU

But change "Notorious" to "Victorious," which is the name of the show she stars on. Or Biggie's "Notorious BIG" which samples the Duran-squared track.

Tom Hanks
Oingo Boingo's "Bachelor Party Theme"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7J_qxD-cvs
REASON: In honor of the movie BACHELOR PARTY. Sure, "Bosom Buddies" and "Splash" blah blah, it's all about BACHELOR PARTY.

Victoria Justice
N.W.A's "Fuck Tha Police"
REASON: Focus on the part where Ice Cube says "I want justice, I want justice", and then instead of saying the actual title, just say "Vicki Justice, Vick-Vick-Vicki Justice". Yeah, that's corny enough to NOT be selected, but I'll go for that anyway.

ALTERNATE (and perhaps more sane) CHOICE
Madness' "House Of Fun"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufBJo8-AvUk
REASON: She's in a new movie called FUN SIZE, so go for the chorus:
"Welcome to the House of Fun
Now I've come of age
Welcome to the House of Fun
Welcome to the lion's den
Temptation's on his way
Welcome to the House of... fun"

Rod Stewart - "Smokestack Lightnin'" by Howlin' Wolf
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBLzTD2wTzg

From the wiki:

"On or around 5 January 1964, Stewart was drunk and waiting on the Twickenham railway station platform, playing "Smokestack Lightnin'" on his harmonica after having seen a rhythm and blues show by Cyril Davies and the All Stars at Eel Pie Island. All Stars singer Long John Baldry discovered him and invited him to sit in with the group"

Jennifer Morrison - "Once Upon a Time" by Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8r5wg671q0

She currently is the lead on the show "Once Upon a Time"

Rod Stewart

The Super Snarky Choice That Will Light Up The Social Networks
"Yummy Yummy Yummy" - Ohio Express
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tty2LRrihU

(due to the infmous rumors of him needing a stomach pump after getting to much love in his tummy, so to speak)

The Safer Choice:
"Hot Legs" - Rod Stewart
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHcjjxYbgNM

(too many great songs to chose from, i just went with my all time fave)

Jennifer Morrison:
"Just Once" - James Ingram
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9lOfmLXafU

(since she's on Once Upon A Time)

Rod Stewart
Gravediggaz's "Here Comes The Gravediggaz"
REASON: One of Stewart's more well known jobs before he had a singing career was that as a gravedigger at a cemetary.

ALTERNATE CHOICE:
The GTO's "The Ghost Chained To The Past, Present, And Future (Shock Treatment)"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_H428jT1L7k
REASON: He did background vocals on this song from the group of groupies produced by Frank Zappa. On guitar was Jeff Beck, so as the GTO's sing "Shock treatment, oh let me go-oh", Stewart basically sings:
"please let me go
oh, please let me go"

I figure since he's there to promote his new autobiography, why not go back to this track.

OR...
If you wish to really take it back
Long John Baldry And The Hoochie Coochie Men's "Up Above My Head I Hear Music In The Air"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kC9Va-qcTVQ
Essentially, one of Stewart's first releases with his vocals, and a bluesy duet at that.

Rod Stewart's "I Just Got Some" (from 1965)
http://youtu.be/6aymQ5m-Tpk
Another blues track, where he talks about a need to have some, and how "I just got a taste of her meat and veg".

Jennifer Morrison
Bryan Adams' "Cuts Like A Knife"

Julianna Margulies
Looking Glass' "Brandy (You're A Fine Girl)"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ep7FWnbAaCI
REASON: What a GOOD WIFE she would be.

Dan Patrick
LRB's "Playing To Win"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_ad9TqnVEo
REASON: After Little River Band had gained loads of hits in the 1970's, they wanted to be hip and "relevant", so they shortened their name to LRB and ended up sounding like everyone else. Since Patrick is a sports announcer, I figure I go for a song with a title that would be sports related.

Colin Farrell - "Seven" by TMBG
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9PNoJuP-mk

Since he's in the SEVEN PSYCHOPATHS.

James Van Der Beek - "Bustin' Up a Starbucks" by Mike Doughty
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hotlYa3JL04

Hmm... two Doughty suggestions in a week. heh. Anyway, suggested for the prechorus:

"Does the man who makes the shoes own you, clown?
You can't even pry the nameplate off, now can you?
Fix it with your tiny fist there
James Van Der Beek and them sisters from Sister, Sister
The only one that's ever felt this is you
The force that's forcing you
To feel like busting up a Starbucks."

Deron Williams - "Hello Brooklyn" by the Beastie Boys
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=SM32R91KMDc#t=139s

Since he plays for the Nets.

Colin Farrell
"My Bonnie" (specifically the Tony Sheridan & The Beat Brothers' arrangement)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2jnLBKgbHw
REASON: Farrell stars in SEVEN PSYCHOPATHS, which touches on the theft of Bonny, the Shih Tzu. Thus:
"bring bach, oh bring back
please bring back my Bonnie to me"

James Van Der Beek
Papa San's "Maddy Maddy Cry"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jB7H2f-ztys
REASON:
http://thehomeworld.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/Dawson_Crying.gif

ALTERNATE CHOICE:
Melissa Manchester's "Don't Cry Out Loud"
REASON:
http://thehomeworld.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/Dawson_Crying.gif

Deron Williams
I like the vote for the Beastie Boys' "Hello Brooklyn", so I'll show my support for that one instead of selecting something new.

10. "Some unsolitcied suggestions for Romney"
In response to Reply # 0
Mon Oct-15-12 02:32 PM by handle

After he cancelled on The View today I HIGHLY doubt Willard “Mitt” Romney will be coming on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, but JUST IN CASE:

---
Oingo Boingo - Capitalism
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqXAW2snGMI

Why? This one might slide by his handlers.

---
Romney Bounce - Get Your War On
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWXyx1VLArY (45 seconds in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWXyx1VLArY#t=1m45s )

Why? Bouncing like your Granny get kicked off Medicare.

---
Joe Walsh - Life's Been Good (So many parts are applicable.)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXWvKDSwvls

Joe Walsh - Ordinary Average Guy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLNAkPsjAEk

Why? Remember when he was lying that he’s just an average guy who’s concerned with the same stuff you are. More like song A than song B from Joe Walsh.

--
Offshore Banking Business - The Members
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0rausbb1nM (URGH version)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXW8OS0SSnc (Tops of the pops)

Why? Describes Bain pretty well.
“Banks and corporation are registered and operating there, they don’t employ any local staff, I don’t know if you are aware. One American sitting at a desk, with a plaque outside on the wall, that’s what they call Off Shore Banking Business.”

---
Toto -99
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFeBp1PDKyg

Why? He’s part of the 1%. “99 I keep breaking your heart Oh 99 How can we be apart Oh 99 I love you”

---
Jesus Children Of America (Stevie Wonder)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXNsV1vduUw

Why? IT fits in two ways – but you might get attacked for any reference to Mormonism.

------
Edit:
Vacation theme - Holiday Road
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hPZFUz0YOY

Can't believe I forgot this

---
And
Wild, Wild West - The Escape Club
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8W9uvhdFZY#t=15s

Why?Forty seven dead beats living in the back street/north east west south all in the same house/sitting in a back room waiting for the big boom/I'm in a bedroom waiting for my baby
