Big single off one of the biggest releases of the year (even if the LP was polarizing)
and to me the real reason it stood out was its place in so many DJ sets, Hip Hop and in the emerging trap scene, as well as other EDM. When I'm in Tel Aviv and I'm hearing this shit being mixed in almost every set, in a city thats very sparse in hip hop, I can FEEL how big this song is in, even remotely.

Plus its just a godamn good song. Admittedly it was a grower for me, but that 2 chainz verse gets me amped as fuck.

i could see if we talking sales or whatever
but assuming most ppl on here don't listen to the radio and don't watch bet/mtv/vh1 kinda seems like a pointless debate
a lot of this depends on where you live or if you're still young enough to get away with going to "clubs" and what not

I love the song, but there wasn't much competition for it. I remember going through the whole summer like "Damn, there hasn't been a summer anthem yet" then at the end of the summer, I'm like, "eh, well I guess "Mercy" was was."
