Blu has put out 7 albums since Below the Heavens in 2007.
Now, his professionalism is another story given the low sound quality, lack of mixing and mastering. But Blu stays in the studio. Working.

his first album had a couple joints..."sure thing" is heavy, the "girl with the tattoo" interlude is too real, there's a couple more, but this album only has one or two misfires.

the extended version of "adorn" is >>>

best R n B album til the The-Dream drops Love IV (or whatever he's gonna call it now).

i actually wasn't HYPED off the EPs Miguel had been putting out, so to hear that KD is SICK front to back...so happy.

nothing on here to make him go plat (maybe "How Many Drinks" can be a hit), just DOPE R n B music. he even made a song called "Pussy Is Mine" not sound vulgar and disgusting.

but im disappointed there are not more new songs. ive absolutely played out all the EP tracks. im usually a bigger fan of short albums, but this one wouldve been better if it were longer.

I was surprised at how good the 1st album was. But I sure as hell wasn't expecting a follow up this strong. Best R&B album I've heard this year.

I think "Use Me" is my favorite song right now but that could change.

Gives it an authentic quirkiness that I've been dying to hear in black music for a while now.

Not sure if I articulated that correctly, but tell me "Do You" doesn't sound like an re-interpretation of classic yacht rock.

Love it.

does anyone notice the ABC "Iesha" phrasing on Use Me?

what are people's thoughts on the mixing? it's very "dirty." i wish it was more clean. i like my music turned up and this gets sketchy at high volumes.

... I had no intentions on checking "All I Want Is You" especially after that "Quickie" song which I hated. But this right here, WHOA. This shit don't sound like nothing the radio is telling mainstream America what is R&B. This shit right here is some R&B for real. Thank you all for putting me on.

Miguel & Pharrell!
Are they about to do a remix?
Pharrell big ups Frank Ocean & considers him the future of R & B,
but Miguel outshines Frank to me.
No song on "Channel Orange" touches "Adorn"

Miguel sounds like the better vocalist from what I've heard, and he's got the smoother album. His stuff sounds like it still has a foot firmly held in traditional R&B, which I can appreciate.

But Frank Ocean's lyrics have a more powerful imagery to me and can verge on the abstract in a really cool way. Channel Orange still has the higher earworm quotient, to me at least.

It all depends on what your taste is.
I bought "Channel Orange" it is one of the best albums of the year, but I just prefer Miguel. Frank has the best songwriting, but Miguel
is a better singer. I prefer singers like Donny Hathaway, Marvin Gaye, Donnie, & Dwele so Miguel is more in that line of singers that I connect with.

after spending more time with this album, i cant think of anyone he reminds me of more.

adorn was kind of a red herring. the rest of the album is miguel doing his 'im an alt R&B/rock artist' bid.
