That's always been my major gripe with Green Day. They're obviously great at what they do....but what they do is the same shit they've been doing since Dookie. I actually liked the direction they were taking with American Idiot and the last one but at the image they roll with has been played out.

and then acted like a douche because he can't handle his buzz plus has had smoke blown up his ass for so long by the rock-press pretending this is a major band worthy of respect when really they're fucking terrible & annoying.

Then they don't even the balls to embrace that assholia & instead have put some kinda Tiger Woods sex-addicition-treatment PR plan go into effect instantly after this non-story.

This clown's had way more minutes than his talent warranted, they were basically a shitty Seinfeld final episode montage away from joining The Offspring in obscurity 15 years ago but instead they're doing concept-albums-turned-Broadway-plays, playing for Z100 kids and/or their cornball parents & inexplicably inducting GNR into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Get the fuck off the stage & go sit your ass down somewhere. You don't get to all the sudden embrace some 'real rock' aesthetic now just because you hung around awhile.

but still somehow im surprised that as a rock musician you would apologize immediately and seek counseling after an incident like this. it just feels so douchey

He was promised 45 minutes for his band, which got cut down to 25, while they were on stage and he had the announcement projected to him on a screen.

I'm sorry, that just seems really unprofessional on the part of whoever is putting the show on.

And yes, Green Day sucks.

either way, their party/their rules.

If you're as important as you think you are, then you wouldn't be needing to do Clear Channel package shows in Vegas to keep your name out there anyway or if you did choose to do so at least had enough sense to acknowledge the game they're playing.

Instead this dude is up there while struggling mightily to break his guitar as a 40-year-old still going by the name 'Tré Cool' is behind his kit looking like he's about to cry.

Then even that amateurish act of rebellion is negated by a press-release & rehab stint.

I don't see The Rolling Stones doing KROQ's Weenie Roast anytime soon.

was big tho...Every damn high school told me that played that song at they last meeting or whatever when they hand out the year books lol.

American Idiot was good they reinvented themseleves accordingly when they was about out.

Now they have turn into critic darlings again.

I mean I remember this white boy loving them in 6th grade back when dookie just blew up he had they underground shit and everything lol. I remmber when we use to sneak cassete players (how long was that ago) in the class and he'll let me listen to that shit.

The fact they still relevant and still loved is amazing. Just about all those other bands have gone by the wayside. I got to give them props for that they have find a way to last..

With that acoustic song Time our lives was perfect timing cause all they fans who grew up with them in middle school was graduating and they leaving they friends.
