hov (in full black album mode) gets unrestrainedly caught up in the moment and starts chanting "yes... YES..." in the LOUDEST whisper he can possibly muster without raising his voice. (you know... just to show how incredible the song is.) but is it just me or does he need MORE people on this cringe-inducer?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUg7G3CPos0#t=00m11s hovito is so amused by his own greatness that he has to let out a (faux) snicker to show the world. excellent way to start a track about how many women you have. ...by doing something they almost universally despise.

jay, post-ether, records a plea-copping answer-back record that leaves many people scratching their heads as to where the god-like eminence displayed on "takeover" went re: the situation with nas. he "unleashes the flutes" complete with... well, this:
and you nailed why that song was tacit admission of defeat: the plea-copping, followed by the lack of "god-like eminence". it was a rather un-Jay-Z® like moment.
this is before the Austin Powers impersonation sinks in.
can you believe this was jay's comeback single from the whole ether incident? this was before jay had beyonce to keep him "relevant". in early 2002, the h was looking mad young on hOVA.
