This is pretty much on par for Lunice who's been average for a minute now. But it's a step down for HudMo. He's somehow managed to become generic as all hell when he came in as one of the most unique sounding cats out there.
It's pure pandergander for in the moment listening where you can say yo in the club that shit works so pefect surrounded byt the fifty other tracks that sound like it, but it doesn't have anything that screams I'll be listening to this for years.
The stock sounds, and cliche arrangements are are just meh. Take the one that has the baby sample.... like really? C'mon. And the thing about it is the baby sample is the most distinct thing about the song and yet it's some shit that's been made hot many many times previously.

but I remember you really liked 'Butter'...god did I hate that album...I liked him better as a semi-Timbo clone. Seems like he's slowly getting back to that in a way.
ironically enough, i prefer this more minimal HudMo. i found his earlier shit to be too "ornamented" with sounds and borderline cheesy house music. this is just low end slap for the whip and yes the club.
lastly, all music doesn't need to be some "imma gunna listen to this 50 years down the line" quality. of the moment stuff can be good/great/enjoyable

Agreed but when you look at an artists catalog and all they have are those tracks that fit well in a mix of tracks that sound like that to define a specific time in club going...ya get what i'm saying?

Perhaps because most of the electronic releases this year has been more complex, this just hits the spot.
According to the write up in pitchfork, there's already MC's over these tracks...other than Busta or Wayne I can't see people on these. Unless you force it like Blu did on N O Y O R K.
