I didn't know about ANY of this at all. I guess if I would have known about them both having kids by the same woman, I may have been closert to making the connection. I'm gonna have to go back and listen with new ears.
And I never knew how the Clipse/Wayne thing started either. I just picked up a few lines from one of the "We Got it 4 Cheap" tapes.

that was a really conflicting time for me because Wayne and Pusha were my #1 and #2 rappers and I really didn't want them fighting, mostly because I didn't ever see Wayne as a straight up battle rhymer. His best threats are idle ones aimed at invisible people.

if I put it on right now I'd finish it pretty easily, No I.D. put his damn foot in that album and most of the hooks are really fucking smooth in my opinion, but Common just didn't bring it on the mic. It was a solid 6/10 record but the only reason you'd really have to still be listening to it now is you're Common's biggest fan or you just don't buy/download that many records.

I'll call wayne a success he gave us a run like no other From that first squad really LIghts out..up until Carter 3 sessions he was killing shit.
Now he got his commerical fame and he's fallen off and got lazy with rappin but I think its deserve now when you really look back at how much heat he was dropping back in the days.
