"So.... Is SMILE and ANGEL the same damn song?"


  

          

I've asked people and no one really gave me the answer/backstory as to why she basically did the same song twice.
no body felt cheated getting served the same song now?
i think this is the STRONGEST case of stealing from yourself in musical history.
and what makes this crazy is that no one seems to notice or at least comment on it but me

...Angela writing "Smile", but Rene taking credit for it after they split. "Angel" along with her solo music and the stuff she did for the Isleys was her way of showing people she was the originator of both songs....or something like that.

the question is which one do you like better
i like smiles vocal arrangement/melody
but angels writing is better

smile for me

The vocal arrangements were great, especially the background vocals on the chorus. So smooth, but so passionate...

and its hard to tell because both are talented keyboardist, however ANgela Winbush is more of a singer and solo act,however both can play.
