"Bobby Valentino's Bobby Valentino album is a good album"

Valentino dropped one my favorite albums last decade and that album still sounds just as good as it did when it first came out. He had some good singles, songs and production for that first album.

I still bump this joint & I love to catch people talking bout they don't like blah or blah. I'll just throw it on and let em groove to it before I bust em. this is one of those joints where cats are always like 'man Bobby got joints like that?' the bad thing is I got a few of the outtakes that didn't make the CD & they slamming!

I think the one thing that didn't help was that Bobby left Luda's label because I think he's independent now.

and Luda made some coin off of disturbing tha peace, however its a minor boutque label.

Bobby just is a ghetto star to most regardless who he is running with

but you totally hit the nail on the head with BV. He's just a straight forward cat with no discernible drama in his life which keeps him under the radar, but I been a BV fan since day one. He's got some solid material in his catalog.

... and I hated it, but liked it at the same time. Tim & Bob did the damn thing on that opus. I thought he was better than to be on the DTP boutique label at the time, as he didn't even fit the DTP mold if they ever even had one for artists outside of Luda. Dope album, I never really checked for him like that after this one, as I thought this couldn't have been topped by him, ESPECIALLY production wise.

I loved it then still love it now I thought Tim and Bob would fill the void left by Jam & Lewis but they rarely stepped up and they sort of lost it with me with The Thong Song

Valentino's subsequent releases aren't that good only a track which was on a compilation cd called Wreck
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPaO5iM6ly8

An even better album is the debut by Rome
