And I know not everyone loved "I Can" but God's Son had that, "Made You Look" and "Get Down" as it's 3 singles which is pretty good in my books. Even SD's "Thief's Theme", "Just A Moment" and "Bridging the Gap". This is definitely shaping up to one of Nas' comeback album, can't wait to hair it or even see the final producer list (Hope Kanye, RZA and Large P can get on there)

and not on no "Nasty Nas is back" shit, more like... this might be the album that will make Nas critics mad in full.
granted, since Stillmatic only Hip Hop Is Dead was the kind of dud that I used to write off Nas about. I thought God's Son was particularly strong though not superlative, the same w/Untitled.
and his album with Damien Marley was a keeper.
But this here?
A song like "The Don" kind of makes me feel like he learned something in the trenches
15. "I definitely agree about that" In response to Reply # 14
HHID has some good songs and he got back in the zone in terms of rhyming and flowing (I like SD & GS but besides a few songs, both are very straight-forward rhyming and flow-wise) but just couldn't turn it all into great songs or pick the right beats. Untitled he learned some lessons from the previous album but still felt the need to make "Queens Make The World Go Round" and "Hero" (Which rhyming wise is great but beat & hook-wise is kinda wack). Distant Relatives him & Damien killed it, I'm thinking Damien taught him how to put an album together and it's rubbing off on him now. Or I guess he stopped feeling the need to shock/throw-off/play with ppl's expectations and finally try to make the most consistent solo album. Eitherway I think regardless if this album becomes a classic or just another 7/10, it'll still be hated on by his critics and hailed as his best since Illmatic by the diehards.

let the songs hit the internet and see which ones get thrown down and which ones get praised. That way hopefully he actually gets that classic album put together we want.
