almost got the vinyl but it was $10 more than the cd so it wasnt worth it.
I think it's pretty damn great. the first half of the album is really great. I think the 2nd half could've used a song like "Sixteen Saltines" somewhere towards the end of it.

around the time of just after the Second Racountuers/Icky Thump/Jimmy-Page-Edge-movie time period, never even bought the Dead Weather albums.
Was feeling like he was spreading himself too thin & the songwriting was suffering with increasingly diminishing returns since his apex on Elephant, which was one of the best rock records of last decade.
But I was somewhat interested to see what he'd do under his own name, the SNL performances were solid too so this post reminded me to check for a stream.
So far listening here at work those first four songs are pretty damn near top-shelf material, not sure about the title track or one after, kinda like this 'Weep Themselves To Sleep' joint (which is where I am on it currently).
