I've only given it a quick skim through, but if you enjoyed Exmilitary you'll more than likely enjoy this. Looking forward to give it a full listen tonight.

You could argue that it's more traditional.

Some of the songs are more straight forward with some pop sensibilities more then Ex-Military (Fever, Footage).

There aren't any real simple antagonistic angry songs like Tachyon or Guillitine.

At the same time the production is much more futuristic & experimental then anything off Ex-Military.

Ill have to sit with it more.

Does Zach Hill play on their albums, or just live?

I have a sneaking suspicion he's involved with alot of the programming however; the Hella releases always tend to have one or two 8-bit songs thrown in for shits and giggles.

"And Death Grips signifies a way for me to kill my own drum ego-- there are no physical drums on a lot of these songs, and some of them are just done with my fingers or hands. We kept saying, "How can we make this connect harder?" and my answer kept being, "I need to play simpler." That's a big change because I've been known as the "tech drummer guy" for over a decade. I'm proud of that, but I wanted to have my own band again."

Couldn't quite sell myself on the last one. But this is sounding epic without being as oppressive sounding.

The music is pretty cool, but I'm not sold on the rapping.

I listened to No Love Deep Web first and then I bought this.

I can see how folks described this one as more "pop". More catchy and embellished. Definitely more major label than the other two.

Gonna study this shit...
