I honestly don't mind that beat compared to Eminem's other productions, but I'm pretty sure people just like that it was a posthumous Biggie and Tupac collaboration. Not like that beat's become a freestyle staple or anything.

Then again, I can't remember if that was a big hit or not.

I dunno what to say, silly in a way that kind of foreshadowed the split that Outkast eventually took. I figure that was the point of the song, to make fun of that sort of thing -- but still.

I raised my eyebrow the first I heard it on some, "dang it, Dre..."

and "The Way You Move" was just too cool in comparison.

Do even his biggest fans think "Those beats are awesome"? At best, they are serviceable and workmanlike...

The 9th Wonder remix definitely improved it a lot.

Mostly the guitar and that little piano figure. It's not exactly funky but it's a perfect marriage of a rock-informed beat to Eminem's delivery.

I find Nas to be more of an Album artist rather than a singles artist.

It's viewed as an unquestionable classic, but the verses aren't even THAT dope when you think about it compared to other verses from those same MC's. It was just dope because they were all on it together, and the beat was CLASSIC.

I think white ppl just love interpolations of big songs they know.

Especially the ones that just came around when "Empire State of Mind" dropped. It was a Top 10 single on the pop charts but did terrible on the hip hop charts.
