"Poll question: the best cover Artist to you and why"


          

this for me is a topic that i have the uptmost respect for acts who can take your song and flip it like a Pancake at the Local I Hop with butter and syrup to go.

in truth when i was younger acts writing all there songs while a great tool seemed extra special,etc..

however you got cats like Donny Hathaway and Luther Vandross who could cover songs and take them away from said original act or Aretha Franklin who could flip it as well and of course Whitney houston.

so who you got in this debate and argument and why?

what the isley brothers did with summer breeze was an absolutely amazing cover......I was listening to the entire 3+3 lp and summer breeze blows away every other song on that lp.
