"Speaking of Tribe: Older people really dont like Consequence?"
Considering he murdered Kanye on his own shit ("Gone" from Late Registration") and has dropped consistantly high quality mixtapes for the past few years, I'd expect more love.
He's a great songwriter with clever punchlines without being annoying. Listen to "Got Me Trippin" Produced by Q tip. I dont understand how you can overlook him.
Hes one of the few new york niggas out here that dont sound annoying and outdated

kinda annoying when he's off the mic. On top of that his appearance probably does affect his popularity some what as well. So yes he's a talented writer with a nice flow but he had too many handicaps to gain serious traction as a soloist. _________________________________________ The Combat Jack Show is THE best hip-hop related internet radio show Catch up http://pncradio.tumblr.com/

Of course I think I'm one of the few people that likes BR&L too. The problem with Consequence to me is that he needs a partner. It's why when he was collaborating with 'ye, he sounded fresh playing off of what Kanye was putting down.
But dudes solo work just doesn't stand up to me. I was down with him a little with the mixtapes he was putting out when Kanye was first starting to bubble, and I bought Don't Quit Your Day Job, and that's when I realized that that nigga need to be in a group.

Back then I would have copped an album of them as a duo in a heartbeat.

Lol! He need somebody to bounce his rhymes off of though.
