Damn. I can't believe this album came out almost 13 years ago. I remember Black On Both Sides & Internal Affairs coming out a week apart, the posters all over NYC, Rawkus was doing big things. Its fair to say that Mos Def kind of owned that moment, despite Simon Says being huge. But, while many agree that BOBS is a classic album, or something like that, it seems Internal Affairs is kind of forgotten. I just listened to it for the first time in a few years and it sounds really, really good.

Behind Closed Doors, Queens, Rape, Simon Says are killing it to start off but somewhere along the line it gets spotty & I get worn out on it.
I can't remember the last time I listened all the way through but it can still come up in a random playlist for me & I'll be happy to hear Pharoahe spitting for a few minutes.

I'm a Pharoahe Monch fan so that goes without saying, it's a classic album as far as I'm concerned, too bad he can't repeat or come close to it though.
Too bad this album is still out of print, I wish Rawkus would just go ahead pay whatever the kats who own the "Godzilla" cartoon theme song for the sample and re-issue the fucking album, so people can go cop it and enjoy the entire album instead of having to find free downloads or paying crazy dough online for an official copy.

lp is pretty ill, not classic by any means but a really dope solo album.
"No Mercy" with M.O.P. gets play constantly. that cut is classic.
and word to the posters hanging in NYC, i still got one of the "snipes" of pharoahe monch's lp (with "right here!" in caps) on my wall.
this lp really deserves to be more known and revered than it is too bad they dropped the ball so badly with their single choices and the godzilla sample fiasco.
