15 years ago today the illest met his way-too-premature demise & his presence is still missed.

Today's a day I like to take to remember the musical legacy left behind.

lol @ this. he put a lot of effort in that shit, it was dope.

I remember thinking Biggie was a funny, somewhat (image) transformational feature when I first heard "Juicy". But upon listening to READY TO DIE for real (because I wasn't quite inspired to cop right off the bat)... I was like, "hey, this dude got the F.U. vibe on lock". You can tell who's a real fan in how they rap.

Sophomore year at U. Penn the one track sure to set shit off was "Dreams." I remember coming to back to school from the summer, hearing it for the first time and not knowing what the hell it was. But I know all the damn NY, Jersey, Philly, and DC kids went nuts whenever the DJ dropped it.
