I just started collecting vinyl, and I recently decided that I didn't wanna cop my other Roots favs on vinyl if they're not gonna come out with Undun, but since they are...

If it's gonna be in the OKP store, ESPECIALLY if it's gonna be bundled with other stuff, PLEASE Dan or someone let us know, because I bought the CD from Best Buy and missed out on the "no preservatives" shirt...you chumps always do this to me...

I'd like for the band to get as much money as possible from what I pay for your merch, but the store's gotta step it's communication game up in order for that to happen.

I noticed they had it up as well. Some more research revealed that it's a bootleg though.

Unfortunately. With the exception of expensive deluxe pressings of MBDTF and watch the throne Def Jam has stopped presseing vinyls which really sucks.

I was about to go ahead and buy it if those in the know ignored this post...

Not officially, like I said Kanye's albums have been released in deluxe versions, and a few others (Big Sean) as well. But 90% of their albums don't get a vinyl release these days, which makes their slogan "Respecting DJs since 1984" seem like a joke.

It's probably a bootleg, but then again, maybe not.

I tend to purchase all items by The Roots i can find - and then determine if they are bootleg.

I still can't decide if my Jay-Z unplugged vinyl is bootleg or not.

The "Limited to 1000" makes me think it's NOT official. Why would Def jam only press 1,000? But we'll see.

1)It's real - or real enough that I can't spot it as a fake.

2)Mine was damaged in transit. Top middle/bottom middle of the sleeve were crushed.

It's 2 vinyl set, gatefold, with credits and pictures on the sleeves .

... the one with the "limited edition" apparently didn't even have the def jam logo. Sucks that yours got a little wear in tear in transit fam. Thanks for all the info though.

I'll be getting another without the tear and sending this one back.

I'll listen to this one tonight and see how they handle the transitions between songs on the vinyl.

They sound identical to me.

It's not like on Phrenology how we got different mixes/song lengths on the vinyl.

Arrive in excellent shape. As good as condition as I'd expect buying it in the U.S.

The Discogs listings show that as the unofficial one (The cover doesn't have a white boarder all around it, no Def Jam logos on the back.)

Bought one from a record store in Toronto. It doesn't have any Def Jam logos, but sounds good. Says "limited edition" on it. Not sure where they sourced it.

... bootleg w/o a Def Jam logo that's coming over here and being sold at domestic pricing, but toted as an import with a limited edition stamp on it. I'd definitely like to see it pop up in the store tab above though.
