3. "Liked the album cover more than the music" In response to Reply # 0
Which isn't to say I didn't like the music, it was cool. But I copped this largely in response to my intense musical-crush at the time with Lone ("Lemurian" had just dropped).
A lot of reviews and posters were making references to BoC, with more than a few accusing Lone of mimicry and tasteless biting. I thought and still think they wildly exaggerated the similarities. And I still prefer Lone. :p
As for the album and BoC in general, I LOVE the melodies and samples, but for ME the tracks tend to go on too long with not enough variation or developments in the music. I'm cool with a slow-build, but their tracks taste my patience and a lot of times I hit skip half-way through the songs.
