" Whitney Houston "One of those days" Appreciation page "

Whitney got down on this cut. i remember i had made a sample tape that used the Isley Brothers "between the sheets" and this jam was bumping. I grooved to this cut 10 years back.

this was a cut i got my ride on to.

That song is a very overlooked Whitney jam. One of my favorites as well. You know, Whitney added so much personality into her singing. I liked the way she flipped the Isley's joint.

Thank you, you too!

Whitney just had a voice unlike no other. The way she carried and held those notes were just something unbelievable. And then there was her vocal tone which was impeccable. Her talent was just incredible.

"Where do broken hearts go".

and you got snobs who somehow only take an artist serious if they write and produce all of there stuff which is Jive.

Whitney Houston knew chords and scales. she was a piano player by the way. anyway you can't move those kind of notes and changes without being in tune and she could change and reach notes with such ease.

she worked her behind off, however she knew music.

"where do broken hearts go" is the kind of song that anyone from Celine dion to Taylor shift could cover however who else could pull off the same emotion Whitney Houston? it is a very adult comtempary song with a country feel in there and yet it has so much room for the in between.

that is a great choice there denny.

you see that is a song right there and if some of the female singers that came after whitney went there then they might have some memorable material but they don't and they know it deep down.

And I like Peabo Bryson so I'm not hating. But it's in his lane basically.

"Where Do Broken Hearts Go" is a classic. It's a classic in every way of the word classic, from Whit's singing on it, to the song writing to the production. That song is timeless and showcases Whitney's greatness.

I think I might have turned down the 'bell' on that ep. And the reverb? A product of it's time...still serves the song though.

I think the structure is great. Strange changes.

The singing is incredible. A great melody in the chorus too. Max already said the song gotta country feel and that rings true to me too.

The chords are similar to 'Miss you like Crazy'
