And no I'm not street teaming for this cat. He just happens to make the type of hip-hop I dig and I didn't see any posts about the album so I figured I'd share.

natural elements were pretty strong when they had their entire crew altogether. i know vudu/butta/swift are still doing music here and there, but wouldn't expect THIS cat to be out. he could get that roc marc crowd easy. this is a pretty dope cut right here.

Only listened to it a few times, but I might even prefer it to "Marcberg." Just some raw gritty NY street-hop.
Apparently, dude and Roc Marci are working on a project together. Oh, and Fat Beats is in communication with dude about re-releasing/distributing the album. That would be dope.

his previous album, Iron Works is also worth listening to. The production is a little more low budget but there are three songs on it better than anything on Grief Pedigree.

As you stated, there is some really strong writing on that album. Even on the songs where the production might not be that engaging, KA's rhymes are intricate enough to hold ones attention.
the randoms in the Roc Marci posts that didn't dig it, when it comes to Ka... it just seems meedling to me, sort of like incomplete thoughts. i def understand the appeal, but not for me... Marcberg is still awesome though

youtube 'Mr Officer' & 'Patience' off his Iron Works album. some of the better writing i've heard in the last 10 years.

It has a grittiness and minimalism that's really appealing. It's definitely in the loop-based production tradition but it manages to also sound like its own thing.
