As much as I love all of these albums, I think my vote would have to go to Willie Hutch's The Mack with Curtis Mayfield's Super Fly playing a close second.

come on now Curtis Mayfield was the King of Soundtracks IMO and Isaac Hayes with shaft opened up the flood gates with theme and concept.

those two are the truth IMO. they got it right.

those other soundtracks had a couple of Great tracks on them, but they ain't seeing no Shaft and Superfly.

in my opinion it really could be close with The Mack as well. The Mack is just so great.

Superfly got it beat.

Shaft with those incredible arrangements and counter grooves and progression Ike hayes was scary man.

I think "Superfly" is probably my favorite, and I fux with "Trouble Man" too, even though some of those interludes are kinda iffy.

But ain't SHIT funkier than "T Plays it Cool"...
