but he's too hard to understand on the 1st verse of this slurring his words and being too lazy with the delivery this song needs crisp articulation especially in the 1st verse 2nd verse to the end is a little better though

It's the weak loop of the fucking beat. I hate when rappers attach themselves to a beat this isn't available (or even loopable...that's not a word lol). At least "Lord Knows" and "Sweet" (the other 2 songs getting raped right now) are open.
As for the 40 thing...I refuse that he will actually drop 40 songs. It could be fun considering the songs are kinda diverse.

just to address some things you said from the GD post:
deep down inside, like you, yes i feel Mos should've/could've been "greater/bigger". But than i think about how Mos acts in movies that make money in the box office and it's not no 10 second role; he always gets invited to 106 & park to promote his videos/albums; He performs on Colbert, gets invited to speak on Bill Maher, has a sizable fan base, and is in "the game" 15 years later. How big do you want him to be?
I know a lot of Mos criticism stems from the shadow cast by BOBs, not only being such a huge artistic statement, but also encapsulating the whole backpack/independent movement of late 90s NY. MOST folks think New Danger and True Magic were failures, but in retrospect there is some damn good music on both albums. and luckily, I know I'm no longer alone in the belief that The Ecstatic is better than BOBs, which says sumthin about Mos' ability to be dedicated to his craft.
i just wonder why some of the heads who blow their shit when Buss or Redman, or Styles P or Jada rock on pop/mainstream tracks call Mos lazy on this, FOH with that double standard

but I do like Mos's lyrics and rapping on this track. The imagery of the video. As a song I think it's a little disjointed though, compared to the original, and I think that's partly because the beat isn't "open" like that.
