I never knew the artists name but the song was really dope.. the quality was not that good

the baet had a sample throughout the beat that says "Oh yes we cannnn, oh yes we cann, oh yes we can" and then the sample goes "just rely on me" and repeats its self

the rapper sounds like Jay Electronica but I believe the rapper was from Maryland or DC

possibly an underground rapper.. maybe affiliated with the low budget crew but not in low budget

at the start of the song his girl calls him and he is in the studio and he says "Let me call you back im in the studio"

some of the bars from the song in the beginning he says

"Ink pen splatter ?? ??? ?? ??
this is science in its pure form lock the door
in a secret laboratory ?????"

the song was about 4-5 minutes long

whoever produced the song I'm looking for slowed the tempo but I don't think they manipulated the actual sample much

it was definitely a female the song sampled.. and a laid back vibe to it like a smokey robinson song or something

I remember the sample kept playing
