"is there many hip hop songs that u could call enigmatic or open to inter..."

i'm not talkin bout ghost throwing random words together or camp lo stitching together slang

but a song with a meaning or purported meaning that is ambigous and below the surface an open to interrpreation.

i was thinkin the closest to this is killah priest's deja vu. shit has wild, surreal poetic imagery but actually has a story/concept behind it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sn13eNEJn-Q

but i cant think of many other examples.

Although I think the majority of meaning are a lot clearer on I'll Sleep When You're Dead than they were on Fantastic Damage.

I wouldn't have known on my own, but reading their explanations it seems pretty clear.

also a lot of A book of human language by Aceyalone, though I haven't really gone through the lyrics either.

"The nameless was the beginning of heaven and earth;
The named was the mother of the myriad creatures."

Go in peace.

with maxx going in on the idea that a song about the simplicity of love is less profound than abstract Dylanisms

Of course, Slug ruins the interpretative nature of the song at the end when he explains its meaning, but still.
