Dude just might be the most beloved hip hop figure ever.... plus his life looks a lot more fun than the other people on this list. He may not have the ends of a Will or Jay but he also has a sort of freedom that I find much more attractive than an obscene amount of money.

(Since you said to factor in the whole experience).

Even though he beat it, that could NOT have been pleasant to go through. FActoring that in, I'd go with Jay-Z or Will Smith. Probably Jay.

I mean he still has respect and ppl checking his new music but at the same time he's able to do commercials, bad movies and pop collabs with very little repercussions. He's created this weird lane now where he's able to keep ppl interested but at the same doesn't make anything too amazing so that he has ppl disappointed when the next album ain't as good.

wiled out while he was young - got his shine and is still relevant with minor output.

has the type of life i'd probably want going into my 40s. a quiet life in the studio, having people write his lyrics, Dr.Pepper/Monster/HP easy sponsor money, and driving Ferraris. and people STILL waiting on The Chronic 3.

the rest are a little too exposed for my tastes.

More money than all those guys save Will but with a strong musical legacy both critically & commercially that might end up being the longest run of relevance in the genre's history.

Plus Beyonce ain't bad.

Just the idea of being married to someone that famous wouldn't appeal to me at all... the fact she's dead behind the eyes isn't even coming into play yet.

while being a major rap star for 12 years by the time he decided to get married, a mate that was on 'his level' who didn't need his money & had her own career going that understood the demands of his could possibly be more 'real' then him scooping a round-the-way girl.

Snoop has almost been in divorce proceedings as many times as years he's been married, publically flaunts his infidelity, & put his wife on a reality-show shot in his home(we have no idea what B/Jay are like behind closed doors, we barely even got acknowledgement they were a couple for their first few years).

I see no reason to believe that's so much more 'real' than what Jay & B have.

I'll pass on that.

If his wife is cool with him fucking other people that's their business, though like most I doubt she is & that's probably part of the reason for their public drama.

I just find it odd that you've designated that one as 'real' & marrying Beyonce as not.

at least publically, so I'm not sure where you got "as many near-divorces as years married" or whatever you said above. There's only been one "divorce" story with them over the years, which was early 00's.

then yeah that's the type of chick I'd want in my corner. I asked who's career would you want up to this point.... nobody is saying I'd be treating her like shit. But the fact she's been through all that shit with dude and it still around tells me a lot.

is it a stretch to say she's be down if she only had to put up with a fraction of it? With B there is no real track record so you don't know what she would or wouldn't do. But on top of all that I'd rather be married a woman like Shante than B... and looks are part of it. Not saying Shante is better looking but she has a look I'm more comfortable with.

Her look is far more "real" than someone that is considered a world wide star. I mean you really don't have any more info on Beyonce other than what you're seen on TV either. I'm just telling you what my preference is... you don't have to agree.

I hear that song at least once a week all summer on the radio. He created a classic rap song on par with "Baby Got Back". Not many rappers can claim that. Not even Jay-Z. OK, I might have to go with Will on this one.

Beyonce is fine as hell, but Jada ain't no straggler either. Jada is a little bit too skinny now. She needs about 10 pounds selectively placed and she would be much hotter.

But Jay-Z has also lost a lot of his friends and people he came up with over the years, and he's sacrificed those relationships in order to get where he's at. To a lot of people, having that success isn't completely worth it if you have to kill so many of your most valued relationships.

But then again, with how he did it, maybe Jay doesn't value those relationships at all anyway. *shrugs*

i respect the other cats in different ways, but LL and it ain't even close.

LL is the only other cat on that list that did pretty much kinda close to what Will smith did.

LL hit in Music, Tv and Film.

LL truly kept a career counting for a really long time.

LL mattered in the 80's and 90's and a wink in the 00's.

LL could switch up his game and then counter you in other ways.

LL worked with a whose who and just stayed cool with his.

his book was a trip as well.

what i dug about LL is that he stayed in his lane and the trip out thing it was only late in his career did he do colabs and even a Mix tape.

LL was around during the golden era of Hip-Hop and he dealt with the changes and he still kept a hit and stayed in his lane.

Unfortunately, it seems like they all put in a good amount of blood, sweat and tears.

So.... Jarobi.

for all the reasons Murph and OldPro (and their co-signers) mentioned above. Also, it can't be overstated how amazing it would be to be the guy who made Doggystyle. One of the best rap albums ever assembled, being the name on the cover would be nice. Not to mention that being a part of those wild ass Death Row studio sessions and subsequent parties back in their heyday would be something for the ages.

So yea, Snoop.

Second would be Dre because of what someone else mentioned above, he's just able to chill out right now and do next to nothing and he's still making mad money and has this myth and reputation about him. That'd be nice.

But Snoop has more fun that's why he gets the edge.

He got more cake than any of them. I would go with Jay next, being top 3 emcee of all time is appealing, and so is Beyonce.

Will also has the most longevity out of all of them, he could be acting/producing/directing until he lays down on his deathbed if he wants. Jada's not bad either.

And I'm sure he has a lot of fun, too.

hell I've done better without Will's money. Jada too manly for my tastes.... plus I like lips on my women.

And no way would I want to have kids looking and acting like that with my name.

Will's whole family situation is pretty unattractive to me.

has earned over $100 mil in his career
he is famous but not really
so he gets all the perks but has no paparazzi level shit going on like kanye and jay
he also basically developed his own lane and became something more than a producer
so he can explore all his interests like being in a rock band, designing clothes, etc

Longevity.

Snoop on the surface, but lets look closer he was suppose to be the man at death row and then what? Suge while digging Snoop's talent saw a bigger superstar in 2Pac.

Snoop was forced into being the Steve Deburg on Death Row records. "L"

they next up going to No limit and truly out of pocket and out of his element, while it produced a decent 2nd album there he just got handed like a sack of grocerys to No Limit and Master P "L"

they on to Star trek with pharell and Chad and it was cute tracks and staying in his lane, but again while his voice and vibe is cool, Snoop never got where he was suppose to go. he went from Starting to being a Bride's maid and never got back.

yeah he is marketable but at what cost?

Jay Z rides with whomever and whoever and being attached to Beyonce in a Sonny and Cher thang got old on the creativity and he just seems to be riding coattails and seems bored out of his mind.

what has he done really? he is smart enough to appear alot of cleaver and Sauve than he actually is IMO. nothing stands out really in his career aside from the fact he has been able to ride it out.

Will Smith,LL and Dr.Dre because they found a way to keep it moving and still have there place in a very tough industry, they truly re-invented there careers,etc..

i Mean Suge brought in Pac and when Snoop was young and Green you know he had to hot after coming off of two double platinm albums, hit songs, tour and he was already told you holding the clip board on a label where he was suppose to be top Dawg?

then he goes to the Master P Plantation of No Limit and you know he was there to sell records but Master P's ego was like step back behind me, Silk the shocker and C Murder.

even in the No Limit films he is forced into backup another Deberg role.

then on to Pharell and chad same case situation.

peace

- One of the best emcees of all time, with an enduring catalog of classics

- Respected by everyone in the game

- Broke into the soul sangin' R&B lane and did a good job

- Bitches LOVE him

- He experienced the mystical and mysterious pussy of Erykah Badu which apparently is like some sort of hallucinogenic drug

- Has kids but is still single (as far as I know) and can parlay with model bitches whenever he wants. So he gets the comfort and sense of fulfillment of children without being tied to 1 vagina like Will Smiff

- He's rich as fuck. Outkast sold a lot of albums, plus he's got cake from other ventures...

- He has carved out a decent acting career, and also has the shit on comedy central. He's got a lot of creative lanes to explore

- Despite all this, he's still not uber famous like a Jay, Kanye or Will Smith so he can still live a pretty regular life.

I'd say a three-way tie between Dr. Dre, Jay-Z, and Pharrell (who wasn't listed).

Dre because I love the fact that he basically has the dream of being able to make the music he wants with no issues. He has the budget and the clout to bring in whoever he wants, he works on his own timetable, and if he doesn't like it, he just doesn't put it out. And he's got bread coming in from Beats By Dre shit, Eminem, etc. I really imagine him just making music all day every day, and putting it out if he feels like it.

Jay-Z, obviously because of the longevity of his career and the incredible business moves, and Beyonce is a good look. Would've been nice to know Biggie, too. The thing that hurts his case is that he's visibly had to leave behind a lot of close relationships on his way to the top, and I love my friends and family too much - esp. people I've worked with for years - to give that up.

Pharrell would probably take the cake, though. What I love about him is that he basically finds ways to take *anything* he loves - music, fashion, liquor, jewelry, art - and team up with someone who he really respects in that field to create something new that represents both what he had already loved, and what he individually has to contribute to it. He's like a big ass kid that just has fun with everything he gets his hands on. Va$htie is also one of my favorite women in the game, would've been great to be with her for a while.
