"Johnny Guitar Watson's catalog?"

I've recently been checking out some of his work via youtube but where would I really begin with his music? I like his funky, soulful sound and his hilarious sense of humor. But with an artist like him who constantly released so many albums in his day, is it best to start with a greatest hits or does he have a quintessential album?

Funk beyond the call of duty is the lp that you really need to find because I really like a lot of the tracks especially im gonna get you baby and love that will not die. I hope that I find this compilation at a thrift store soon because I was listening to the snippets and nearly all of the tracks are funky with the exception of the latter stuff. I mean, I really like ET because it has a Prince beat to it.
