Yea definitely has some balls going to where he goes, but I Think most artists are told beforehand who they're dealing with so they're mostly ready for it. Some aren't tho (Nas) haha.

Oh definitely quirky. That's a huge part of his charm.

I just like that his interviews are never your run-of-the-mill BS "when's the new album coming?" shit that everyone else on the planet does. He actually does significant research into his subjects and asks good questions, sometimes probing but at least from what I've seen, he's never been a dick, though he asks tough questions. 90% of the artists I've seen him interview were shocked at SOME point during the interview, which is impressive.

Hilarious stuff. He interviewed a buddy of mine and knew more about his past than I did.

His interview with Henry Rollins in the 90s is high art.

He had a big platform on his personal channel and his vids on iamOTHER don't get nearly the same amount of views.

Seriously puts into perspective the art of interviewing. Before it was never about style but rather being a straight journalist. Dude has seriously changed the way I look at music interviews.

I think he's dope but I hate how his interviewees think he's amazingly well-informed about them. He's not. He just knows how to use Google, that's all. The difference is that unlike some morning zoo tool, he actually cares enough to do basic research.

not just on some simple Google shit.. obviously a lot of is searchable online but some of his info comes from his pre-interview set up and prep.. they keep it a surprise for the artist obviously bc that's what makes the interviews so much fun

I love the Pharrell, Questlove, Ed Sheeran ones because they all recognise Nardwuar's ability as a great interviewer. Think of how many foolish interviews all artists have to go through and participate in when they release new material. When one zany guy starts asking you about recherch� stuff or parts of your history very few people know then you sit up and pay attention.
