Been listening to a lot of Bob lately.. only because it came up on my girl's ipod and I don't have one of my own because I don't want to be an iJerk.. in any case.. I have listened to a great deal of Bob before but once again.. I was too young to get it.. or something.. this man was a genius song writer.. GENIUS.. I'm talking about that level of Beatlesque simplicity/complexity rolled into one... that's Bob for you.. give him a guitar and 3 chords and he'll make you go amazeballs.. am I wrong?

amazeballs? lol.
have you checked out his studio one recordings from the 60s? when they were called the wailing wailers. volumes one and two. more ska type vibes, but you can hear the reggae creeping in. early versions of some of his classics like one love, bend down low, etc. dare i say i like this stuff better than the rest of his catalog.

I love a lot of Dub.. Augustus Pablo is probably my favorite.. its definitely a sweet genre where you can hear Reggae begin to find its voice and emerge.. I will definitely check it out, thanks!

I have heard some of these songs 50 to 100 times and still, I am floored by the arrangements, his vocals... just an incredible artist whom deserved all the praise he got and more.
