cost is the real issue with passports. Think it was like $350 for both kids.
Wife and I have passports but not the cards.
I wonder how much those cost. I was shocked when the kids cards came along with the passport.

when ordered with your passport.
I recommend getting the passport card with the passport because when traveling you can keep the passport in the hotel safe and travel with the card for ID. If you get robbed you don't lose your actual passport and the card can be used to ID you if anything happens to you. I heard that on a youtube video... so don't take my word for it... LOL!
