Kick my child off the team. Make me responsible for his immediate departure from the trip. If I have to max out a credit card in the process, that’s another reason I’m gonna be in his shit. But, beating with a shoe/weapon? Several steps too far.

I came across a vid of my son’s grt uncle beating him with a belt for 9minutes straight. Got the cops involved and they claimed they couldn’t find him. If I ever see him again…on sight.
On another note I was okay with a long time sensei, with my permission and in my view, giving a couple if pops to my son’s behind with a flex stick.
I don’t think the coach ment vicious harm like my son’s grt uncle but I doubt the parents gave any permission and they were not present or aware until the video was shown. Its a no for me based on that.

who decides when it's ok to hit the kid? it's too subjective.I don't want someone making that call at their discretion.
now he's out of a job and who knows what else may be on line for the coach.
I don't know what level of engagement the kids were having and agree that it's just wrong to have girls in the room on a trip, but hitting the kid with a shoe wasn't the right move.

I feel you, and that's why in general one shouldn't touch other people's kids because you never know where that line is drawn. I wouldn't recommend this course of action, I'm just saying given what I know had it been MINE I woulda jumped in his face and made him feel the wrath, but I wouldn't have tried to hurt him on sight.

I raised them, support them, go through the struggle and frustration with them. So I've always been very conscious to not even TALK to my kids a certain way around most others, not because I'm afraid of judgment or "being reported," but simply, I don't need ANYONE else THINKING they have the right to engage with them in that manner.
We're gonna have problems and we're gonna have a lot. Hit ME with your shoe coach, let's see how that goes.

because a girl woke up on the bus and said she he stole $20 from her.
Dude started crying from the humiliation. Shit was traumatic and embarrassing. Mind you, its a Black college tour, we are all from Pittsburgh but 3 kids from LA flew over to take the tour and he was one of them.
She found the money shortly after.
I would be livid as a parent. Yell at them, send them home but don’t put your hands on them.
