"Song of the Summer 2025 - the "comprehensive" experience"
yeah....
This is part "tradition" - part how I keep tabs of the summer going along (the older I get, the earlier I feel summer slips away - March is seeming to be the new starting point of that feeling)
So....yeah, this post is here - and songs that probably won't be top 10 pop or R&B might be discussed due to their "contribution" overall to the summer of 2025.
So....
Lot's of hits from Doja Cat and Sabrina Carpenter are still lingering around.
Some songs that are somewhat long-in-the-tooth are kinda staying around/kinda fading:
Seems like it is going to be a low-key balanced Summer with some of the last Summer's songs (and 2022 and 2023's Summer songs) still around...Some songs from the earlier part of the year still around...some newer songs getting some "respectable" amount of rotation (but not seeming like people are "singling" any particular song out as "special"

now, i think he's really just put out one official single this year and it was on some country shit...and i get he's from Texas and that influence seeps in here and there even if you're not from the country...but i hate that stuff lol so i hope he's leaning into that (even if he's only doing it as a cash grab).
