"post some good news to end the year."

I'll start.

A camp for kids with hiv/aids is closing because of a huge decline in cases.

https://www.startribune.com/closure-of-northern-minnesota-camp-is-the-greatest-story-heres-why/601199362

The 80-acre site is home to a camp that has served kids living with or affected by HIV/AIDS for more than 30 years. But the number of babies contracting the virus through their mothers has declined to the point where such a camp no longer needs to exist.

In the United States, the perinatal HIV transmission rate, or the rate of a mother passing the virus on to a child through pregnancy, birth or breastfeeding, is now less than 1% thanks to antiretroviral medications, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The World Health Organization says that globally, new HIV infections among children up to age 14 have declined by 38% since 2015 and AIDS-related deaths have fallen by 43%.

I'll do good for a month, have 1, then snowball for the next 3 months. Wash, rinse, repeat.

My goal next year is to get serious about giving up chocolate due to the child and slave labor used to harvest cocoa.

- I helped someone overcome their fears to achieve a goal
- I stepped outside of my comfort zone professionally and didn't get fired

It's the largest drop in decades, about 10% fewer deaths than last year.

TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*
