I like the way he associates certain songs with time and place like the first time he heard them. That's cool. I often do that.
Then I appreciate how he describes songs in non-music terms. He says the song has a Johnny Deep vibe to it and not sure what that means but then I kinda know what he means.
It reminds me of this weekend when Tyler said a verse feels like Marshmellows and I kinda know what he means.
Then it's kinda magical (or is it being very technical?) how dude knew the chords to fill out the drum and vocals before even hearing the song. Like he knows what's missing (or how to accompany it).
Then there is just the pure joy of grooving out to a new song. My man looks like he is in pure joy playing along to the song.
I mean I rock out to a song at a concert or party but dude is able to reach a whole knew level because he can "converse" with the song by playing along with it.
And then not only is dude a natural talent, but he has an encyclopedic knowledge of music to draw on to express himself.
It's a joy to watch talent + sustained study of the form combine and pay off this way.
Do you know anyone who plays this way? Ever seen it up close?
