I cut him a little slack for being from Memphis, too. I knew a few people who braved the elements that week to see him at the Orpheum. Heard it was pretty worth it especially for it being a free concert.

He also puts together and does arrangements for tours and board art productions that he isn’t even on - he’ll hire the band and MD arrangements for some stuff he can’t be at himself.
He has an identifiable sound that enhances whatever artist he’s working with to make them sound good, and he runs a TIGHT ship on productions so that nothing goes wrong on a live broadcast (either pretaped like Super Bowls or LIVE live.)
