"Poll question: Oasis vs. Love of a lifetime"

some late 80's mild and pleasant R&B pop with complimentary pleasant video. Pleasantness all around.

...uh...

Are these songs interchangeable?

Love of a lifetime (not the outstanding "Love you all my lifetime")

I like that the Chaka song has that Scritti Politti groove, but it definitely sounds more dated in retrospect. The Roberta Flack joint, although not as catchy, has some nice low end and sounds like it could still get some burn on the Quiet Storm. Love of a Lifetime sounds like a throwaway song on the soundtrack to some mid-80's modern jazz dance movie.

I was imagining Roberta at an amusement park at one point trying to recollect the video from memory.

I wanted to listen to it a few months back for nostalgia sake but I think I came across a wikipedia page that said it's pretty much defunct.

I miss some of those jams

IDK I just kinda use The Quiet Storm as a vague and all-encompassing term for platforms that still got that adult contemporary-smooth jazz vibe going.

In the Bay, it was 102.9 KBLX which I know pivoted more in a throwback r&b lane but that's just the new oldies/quiet storm format as we get older and older and the music we grew up on gets older and older.
