I don't understand some people... Governor declared a state of emergency for NYC I work in a museum and of course we are open... because why?
and we have clueless visitors (an old couple) asking me how to get to the Cloisters, they are meeting some people... 86 crosstown bus and 1 train are not running. they complain, they don't want to take an expensive taxi...
they ask me what the problem is. i'm like "climate change!"
the guy is like "No, NYC is designed poorly. it's not even raining that hard. You can't blame everything on climate change" LOL!
I show him pictures of flooding in brooklyn. Carrol St looks like a f*cking ocean. then he shuts up and leaves. I hope he makes it to the cloisters and gets stranded out there...

the $68 million dollars paid out in misconduct fees from the actions of just 10 NYPD officers alone could have covered the cost to have installed upgrades to every single drain and gutter in the city.
climate change + old and collapsing infrastructure + cop mayor with record high police budgets = nothing good
