I've seen photos of this tree and while it wasn't that important to me clearly it was important to a lot of people..
which means someone had to cut it down cause why not?

trees are alive and are an integral and symbiotic part of human life. we literally cannot live on this planet without them.
even your statement...your attitude of minimization of the importance of trees is a part of why this happened. native folk would have never. toxic western culture is so disconnected from the land and its sad.
