I just moved to a new area and so I need to decorate. I decided to go to bed bath and beyond. While I knew they filed for bankruptcy and closed some stores, according to google one store that was a 30 minute drive away was still open. Ordinarily I might think to confirm this but you know how moving brain is…anyway I get to the shopping center, seeing the bed bath and beyond sign in the distance, only to get over a hill….and see the Halloween signs underneath lol.
Thankfully there was another home store nearby where I found some good shit.

a bed, bath and beyond and the closest one is an off-brand furniture store.
that's a brilliant business model for them. scavenge strip malls that recently lost an anchor, get a couple of months of that good 'some money is better than no money' rental rates from these retail landlords. do they thing, and bounce.
