that only accepts a check or cash as payment. This summer it was the cost for my son's orchestra camp...the music association at his school doesn't take any forms of electronic payment or credit cards. Same thing for school pictures for my youngest son.
I used to need checks for things like contractors doing work at the house, but now they just about all prefer credit card, cash, or Venmo/Zelle/Paypal.

we have an account with a credit union and they won't let us link another bank to it so I have to write a check to myself and deposit it thru the mobile app to pay off our HELOC.
then I rip the check up.. lol.
so outdated but they offer great rates so I tolerate it. Checks don't even have the right address on them because they are old af. I think they still say BB&T on them even though its now Truist.

Moved over to Bill Pay so the bank just sends it now. Just sucks that they pull the money a few days early but it hasn't been an issue yet. There are some months where the timing gets thrown off some and I worry the money gets there late. Might bump it up a day or two to try to avoid that.

... and the management company only takes checks. Not only do they only take checks, but they insist that said checks have to be dropped off at their office, which is 20 mins away.

Because the times when checks are needed are so rare that it’s sometimes a mad dash to find my current checkbook, but I have a couple old ones in my desk. Not only is the address outdated but the bank itself is different because it was acquired. Checks/routing numbers still work though. And it’s not like the old days where they are verifying address on an ID when taking a check.
