The first dude hit him with a running sucker punch before the hat toss - while the security guard was talking to another guy and pointing towards the boat. That ish was out of pocket and honestly hard enough of a sucker punch that it would have taken out most people off the rip. Then while he was holding his own against that first attacker the dude he’d been talking to came behind him to grab him and he was STILL holding strong. It wasn’t until the third dude came running in to take him down that they just all starting piling on him. At no point in that fight did he have a fair advantage to be winning against that full group.

Because he ran down the ramp and did JUST THAT. He didn’t run down to start fighting, he ran down and stopped the group from beating the security guard. That broke up the first round and he put himself in harm’s way to do so. That took some HEART.

The 1 on 1 fight was never fair to begin with. That first dude hit him with a running sucker punch while he was talking to the other guy. Never saw that punch coming. Most people would be OUT just after that punch and he was still standing strong. Then for the rest of the 1 on 1 he was essentially holding that dude at an arms length by his neck without anything else connecting, until other guy came around the back and grabbed him, and then the third dude ran in and jumped on him with it being a 3 on 1 fight at that point.

I wonder if the "I saw my friend being hit and I went in to help him" defense will play. But one of those dudes started going a little to hard to be defense only.
The guy who ran down the ramp definitely was there to help - but at least one of the guys who jumped in before that was just wanting to fight.
