the original story was a retired football player choosing medical weed over pain pills
That turned into “weed is as bad as tobacco!”
and when I said there are other ways to ingest it.. gummies, butter, pill form, juices, etc. and I then said its less harmful than tobacco.
the next 3 pages were this:
so you are saying its safe to smoke and drive?? you must be highl
which turned into “look at these driving while high” stats in colorado.. you have to be stoned”
which turned into “do you know how many people die from Tobacco??.. put the bong down dude”
which turned into “thats like saying drinking is safer than heroine.. omg, you need to stop smoking you think that”
which finally turned into “is it less harmful than tobacco? Sure. but blah blah blah”
which ended with me saying “you did all that straw man bullshit to agree with my original point and you have to be a fucking idiot to not agree that a shot or whiskey is less harmful than a shot of heroine.
Some real life reefer madness and bullshit semantics to try and convince people weed is the devil’s lettuce.

after 6 pages of trying to convince me otherwise.

it was last Tuesday. was released on Wednesday. never indicated that she was in any pain.
had the follow up with the surgeon on Friday and was cleared to get back to work and driving. she's adjusting to nutrition plan, but doing well so far.
the only issue was that after the surgery, I didn't see her. Surgery was over around 1pm. Doc told me things were good and they'd be putting her in a room eventually. I stayed til almost 8 and still no room. I did get to talk with her on the phone and she seemed fine. I never saw her til the next day.
thanks for asking. you help settle my nerves a bit.

They didn't take the car - hers happens to be a model year before the USB feature thing - but they demolished the steering column, I guess trying to take it. Her hood was a jar too so she thinks they may have taken something under the hood, but she doesn't want to touch the car until the police arrive and they are taking forever because for them this is not a priority.
