what’s up, all I’m heading to Europe for the first time in a few months — Porto, Portugal, specifically, but I also plan to visit Barcelona and Prague since I'll be in the neighborhood (relatively speaking).
anyone got experience in any of those places? any recommendations — eateries, vinyl spots, live music, bars with cool folks? any help is appreciated.

How long are you going for?
Unless you are going for several weeks, I'd recommend staying around one area, there is a lot to see and do around Portugal...Prague should be it's own trip, its still a 3+ hour flight away and a whole different vibe. Barcelona and exploring more of southern Spain/Catalonia could be cool.
Porto is a dope city...eat some Francesiznhas and then walk them off by exploring the center of the city, art district and going across the bridge to visit some of the Port distilleries.
If you have time to explore more of Portgal, Lisbon is a dope city, as well as some smaller towns in-between...Coimbra is a cool university town, and Obidos is a cool day trip with an old castle.
Food is incredible, as long as you like seafood and lots of olive oil.
...though the first week is reserved for work-related stuff.
I'm down to see more of Portugal, but since this is my first trip to Europe, I feel an urge to see *more*, especially since I've been so lazy about traveling thus far.
I hear what you're saying about saving Prague for another trip... but I'm kinda getting mixed messages since others say I don't need as much time there. then again, maybe they're approaching it from more of a tourist checklist mentality, which I'm not interested in.
I just wanna walk the streets, soak up the local vibe and cap off the day with some brew somewhere chill. what you recommended is perfect, actually.
