"Poll question: In 2023, is it ok to check out a phatty?"
Its getting warm out and folks start to dress a little more revealing. Anybody walks buy, including maybe a co-worker in a professional setting, is it okay for a guy to check out the wagon she is dragging?

Generally no because it's disrespectful, but if you can do it without getting caught then it's whatever.

Take a quick peek if you want, but if you look too long, just know you're gonna get burned.

dude was wild af. Said his ex tried to throw boiling water on him and another time he woke up to clicking sounds.. and she had an empty gun pointed at his head pulling the trigger over and over.
anyways.. we go to lunch and it was in an area with truck stops so that had lot lizards aka hookers. These broads were beat down. When I tell you this dude almost hopped out the car looking at the worst of the worst.. lol.
I realized why his ex was always trying to kill him. No chill at all. He only lasted about a month at the job.

I’m not batting 1.000 but I’ve made it a concerted effort to keep my eyes up- especially at work.
I’m not blind. I notice if it’s poppin. But I’ve made a concerted effort to do more than simply not stare. I try not to even glance, especially at work.
I started a new office about a year ago, and there was a woman in front of me, who held her hands behind her as she walked. I was immediately offended, because i only looked down when she moved her hands. Like FOH, you ain’t special.
But then I realized she probably deals with the stares and even glances all day every day. She was packing a fat one and not even dressed in form fitting clothes. So yeah, she probably catches the stares and glances all the time.
Also, I work with mostly women. being more active in my union has made me exponentially more aware of all the things that can make a workplace less than inviting, and I’m now in a position where I’m viewed as a leader, someone people can come to when things aren’t on the up and up at work. So part of my job is to both build and make good on that trust.
So at work I’m eyes forward at all times. It’s not just that, I’ve changed a lot about the wag I conduct myself on the job, for the same reason.
Out of work, it’s more or less the same, but I am more relaxed. It’s only an issue when it’s a “holy shit how is this person real” type shape. But then it’s still the same edict: eyes forward.
Not on some white knight shit either. I’m just trying to be a better person all the way around.

good post.. don’t be on that Can’t Get Right with it.
I have one or 2 at my job but one that just.. whew. She knows it and if I don’t look her way when she walks by she speaks to make sure I notice her.
I wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize my house or my money but we are all adults.
Glance wisely

Like she is always rocking new outfits and ensembles and if I say nothing, she appears concerns and lights up when I compliment her outfit.
Another sister I work with remarked "I see you looked me up and down when you walked pass" with a smile. I hadn't even noticed I did it. Maybe I didn't even but she is always saying something slick to me.
#Metoo threw off work place dynamics for a minute but a lot of the lightweight stuff has returned to normal.

those flirting vs harassment memes are real.
i'd like to think at 31 i'm beyond letting some borderline shit off but at the same time i am also thankful there's nothing to really look at at my current job.
my old job hired nothing but neckbreakers man it was hard to focus sometimes.

It is absolutely morally reprehensible to degrade a woman by daring to look at her in a sexual manner, especially if you're a black male in a professional setting.
OF COURSE I'm glancing in her direction and communicating with her with a stoic non-sexual professional look on my face.
