2. "I got home and realized I failed my coworker in a group email" In response to Reply # 0
I apologized first thing this morning. Last thing I want to do is try and embarrass a Black woman in a group text. She appreciated it and broke down on how this job is killing her creative spirit… and I fucked around and piled on when I have been her safe space. She said she only took the job because I was here.
I let her down but I promised her it will never happen again. I was in my feels and didn’t handle it the right way. Those 4:55 pm emails man.. smh. Shoulda just let it ride
For now on, I’m taking an extra minute or 2 to reflect on an email before sending it. If I said it in private I think we both prolly chuckle about it. But saying it in a group chat changes everything.

my brain was like: “bruh, you know you done fucked up right?”
I’m not beating myself up over it but I damn sure made sure my first order of business was looking her in the eyes and letting her know I fucked up.
I was glad I caught it tho.
Not beating myself up but it was more of an “awe man, did I just??? yeah, I did”
had to walk up with my hat in hand.. lol
