"Songs you once hated with a passion that you now appreciate"
I always hated Pink Cadillac. Mostly because it was overplayed on MTV. I’m waiting on Prince or a rap video but had to sit through that joint being played twice an hour EVERY HOUR.
its not a bad song but I HATED IT back when it came out.

funny you say that cuz i do remember that. i'd be waiting to see a Run DMC/Beastie Boys/Fat Boys and here comes Pink Cadillac again.
speaking of Fat Boys, one i hated was when they got w/ Chubby Checker for the The Twist. MTV used to blow that one out too. i still dislike that one though, LOL.

When they were really rolling in the late 00s, I kinda-blindly hated everything they put out with a thorough passion.
I've since come to massively appreciate a lot of their songs, and specifically Lil Wayne in terms of lyricism. I still don't think he's even close to one of the "best" but he can rap and he's a lot of fun. Throwback.

>which was a cover of Bruce Springsteens bside > >>I was jamming to it last week thinking about that lol…. >>Aretha was on one. >
And since we’re here, please believe! I was very not into the Aretha one. And I didn’t have much love for Pink Cadillac AT ALL. I was just old enough to know that Natalie Cole made Our Love.
But really, I now love Jump to it so much that it nullifies my disdain for either of those two songs.

Not a total hate but it reminds me of the time when V-103 was like “Play rap on Sundays?! FOH.” There’s so much of ATL I’ve never seen because that shit used to put me to sleep.
When it was out I always found it mad boring. Instant skip or background music for me.
Not sure why I really fuck with it now that I'm older. Doesn't even have anything to do with my own mother whom I've always had a super strong relationship with since toddlerhood.
