But I want to deep clean it and rearrange it and I don’t have adequate time to get it complete in one sitting. So I procrastinate.
But my room is a reflection of my mind.
Also. I hate this database class I’m taking. I was trying for the first three weeks and I was getting it but then I just stopped trying. I have about a week to make up what I haven’t done in the last 3 weeks. It’s online school so I’ve been doing the discussion posts but no lab assignments cause it doesn’t come easy to me and I don’t see why I would ever have to use any of the information. Plus my teacher is not the best at giving the information objectively. She says stuff like “so now here is the hard part” and “you will probably find this part difficult”. I’m thinking all of it is difficult, Sis!

woke up at 4AM to a cold ass house.
and never got back to sleep after turning on the electric heaters and checking the furnace because I thought it was malfunctioning.
I was at my desk struggling yesterday. I felll asleep twice.

Writing a verse and a bridge to a song I’ve been developing. Had to get up at 6am to get kids ready, go to work and do meetings then get my car cleaned and go to praise team rehearsal which lasted 2.5 hours. They started rehearsal with a prayer and I was like Jesus I don’t feel like praying I just want to sing so I can go. Halfway through rehearsal I just sat down criss cross applesauce and sang from the floor. Then after rehearsal a lady wanted to talk with me about something on her mind and I knew it was gonna take 45 min for me to get home. I listened though because I know God blesses our sacrifice and I know there are times I need to talk and it’s good to have people with a God-like mindset to share with. A lot of what she said was emotion so I made sure to bring out and focus on the spiritual aspect of it. I got home around 10:45pm and my mom was waiting up for me cause she forgot I had rehearsal. I think she was scared I was out drinking but nah. I will be 6 months sober on the 17th of Febs.
After I left I did stop and get a black and mild though.
My next test of faith is allowing God to deliver me from smoking. It’s a will and not a skill thing for me. But just like I allowed myself to let God free me from alcoholism, I can and will be free from polluting my lungs for temporary stress relief. I think my vocals will get a lot better sounding when I do.

a winning team my city is showing up everywhere on TV. It was in "The Last of Us" this week and now I am watching this black travel show that is featuring my city. This episode of the travel show is talking about how the Negro Baseball League originated in KC. My aunt lives right behind that baseball stadium that the Negro League used and she has lived there since I was a child. I completely take driving by that place for granted. I think I actually went in there as a child.
Also, my grandpa was friends with Buck O'Neil. He used to come by their house and everything. I never thought of that guy as anything other than my grandpa's friend until I was well into my 30's. By that point my grandpa had passed and Buck O'Neil was close to the end of his years. Crazy!
I am ashamed that I am just now feeling pride about where I come from.

Its Jerseys and Jeans attire this Sunday and I only have a raggedy Redskins jersey. Which I've worn the last two years for Jerseys and Jeans Sunday. So i need something new for multiple reasons.
anyways I reached out to a fellow member who is from Kansas and reps them hard to see if she has an extra one or can point me in the direction of where I can get one reasonably fast and inexpensive.
Nevermind she just told me she passed her Jersey to her daughter. Now I have no idea where to look. I realize the colors for them are almost the same as the Skins/Commanders.

like red hot, I used to put that shit on everything. Every poster and flyer. It was supposed to represent linking up.
and I was so crude with photoshop and freehand that I never thought to save a file the logo as a file. I would just copy and paste or make it from scratch because it was so simple.
