she's been on ones with the kids and her family and ones with girlfriends. This one coming up with be my 4th, her 11th (or 12th) and my sons' 7th.
First one was out of New Orleans (they have to be in driving distance, cuz I don't fly). Five day cruise. It was fun because a BUNCH of us went...like 25 of us (friends, wives, kids). Hanging out, running into folks around the ship, playing cards, eating...it was cool. The ship was trash. My wife even said she didn't want my first cruise to be that ship, but time of year/lenght of cruise/port of departure, made it necessary. That ship actually is no longer in the fleet.
Next one was on the Vista, out of Galveston. This was a 7 day. A couple of the stops were the same, but the experience was even better due to the ship being cooler.
This past December was an 8 day out of Galveston, on the Dream. Slight upgrade of the ship, plus this one was Caribbean instead of Mexico. For me, it's just the relaxation. You don't have to be anywhere at any specific time unless you want to be. I did cardio first thing every morning, went to breakfast, took naps in the middle of the day. If you get to a port and you don't wanna get off the ship...just chill. You decide beforehand if you wanna do excursions or not. The first year we didn't do any. The second time around we did cave tubing. This past one, we did snorkeling and my wife and son did parasailing.
This one coming up is a 7 day out of Orlando on the Mardi Gras. My wife and I have been geeking over this ship. We probably watched 6 Youtube videos with tours of it. This ship is CRAZY...it blows the previous three out of the water (pun intended). We're gonna chill for '24 and then in '25 try out a different cruise line. ...I'm from the era when A.I. was the answer, now they think ai is the answer - Marlon Craft
