1 year (and a week ago) I started on WeGovy - which is a weight loss drug. It's also the same drug marketed as Ozempic - a diabetes drug. It's very expensive unless your insurance covers it.

It simply suppresses your appetite - it's amazing. Queen Latifah does the commercials here: https://www.itsbiggerthan.com/time-to-talk/

It does other things too - but the appetite suppression has been the key for me.

*Consider asking your doctor about it if you are struggling with weight.* My doctor reports his patients are all doing well on it.

Nausea is the only side effect really mentioned by users.

The FDA says "The most common side effects of Wegovy include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal (stomach) pain, headache, fatigue, dyspepsia (indigestion), dizziness, abdominal distension, eructation (belching), hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) in patients with type 2 diabetes, flatulence (gas buildup), gastroenteritis (an intestinal infection) and gastroesophageal reflux disease (a type of digestive disorder)."

Some people are so nauseous they stop taking the med. There's another one on the market called Mounjaro they can try too.

It seems like 95% of people get very mild or no side effects, and there have been very few side effects for me.

The engineering team took a couple of high profile L’s and now they’re passive aggressively blaming me because they think I undercut them. And I don’t have it in me for this fight right now. Like YALL failed, not me, and the reason YALL failed is because you sat behind your desk and created simulations without talking to people. They want me to attend MORE of their meetings because they think our work has overlap, and they just want to get clarity on what I’m doing so that we’re not sending out mixed messaging. Is how they phrased it.

But what they’re asking is why are people coming to you for answers when want to have meetings with those same people and can’t get buy in

And it’s like … I’m just exhausted with any of this. It takes a lot of WORK to get into an organization and get into any meeting that you need to be in. You have to do the work to get into rooms. And they’re not doing that work … I don’t even think they know that that IS the work. But you can’t sit behind your desk and create presentations that fall flat and wonder why nobody is licking your ass.

didnt mean to.

walked past, they did the bubbly “hey how are you”

I said “I’m good” and kept it moving.

Then one of them said “so how are the Steelers doing this year”

I snapped back “you know how they are doing this year”

she says “no, I didn’t know, I was just trying to small talk”

I was like “yeah.. sorry, my bad”

TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*
